We’re working with a leading international contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Authorised Person (HV) to join a major hyperscale project in Finland.
This is a site-based role, playing a critical part in the safe energisation, control, and commissioning of high-voltage systems on a fast-paced data centre build.
The role
You will be responsible for managing electrical safe systems of work, controlling energised activities, and ensuring all HV operations are carried out safely and in line with project procedures.
Key responsibilities include
Implementing and enforcing Electrical Safe Systems of Work
Issuing and controlling permits for energised works
Operating under HV safety rules and strict operational procedures
Reviewing drawings and specifications to extract project requirements
Managing lock out / tag out (LOTO) procedures and safety documentation
Reviewing switchgear distribution and system topology prior to energisation
Supporting commissioning teams with test scripts and sequencing
Liaising with SCADA / BMS / EMS providers for system integration and handover
Working closely with site teams and the Lead Appointed Person
What they’re looking for
Electrical Engineering qualification or recognised electrical trade background
5+ years’ experience in a similar role (data centres, industrial, pharma or commercial projects)
Proven experience working on MV/HV systems
Authorised Person (AP) or Appointed Person experience
HV Switching Tickets (essential)
Strong understanding of electrical protection systems, switchgear and distribution
Experience in testing and verification (minimum 3 years)
Process-driven with a strong focus on EHS and quality
