Chief QS – Glasgow
Salary up to £80k + car allowance
Our client, an award winning residential developer is actively seeking to recruit a Chief QS to join their team in Glasgow. This business has a number of unique developments across the central belt which include traditional 3-5 bed homes, flatted developments and bespoke refurbishment of listed buildings.
Reporting to the commercial director, duties will include:
- Prepare and maintain detailed development appraisals, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for each project.
- Provide accurate cost planning and cost-to-complete forecasting, ensuring early identification of risks and opportunities.
- Monitor project expenditure, valuations, and performance against approved budgets.
- Support with procurement, selection and management of supply chain.
- Conduct regular CVRs and report findings to the board
- Liaise with funders, housing associations, and external stakeholders as required.
- Assist in developing company-wide commercial procedures, cost databases, and benchmarking systems.
- Support value engineering initiatives to maximise development profitability without compromising quality or design intent.
- Manage the compilation and agreement of final accounts.
- Management of commercial function, as well as mentoring junior staff members.
