Senior QS/Commercial Manager
Up to £90k + package
Glasgow

First Task Professional is recruiting for a well known developer to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager based in Glasgow. With several projects in the pipeline including hotel, office and industrial projects up to the value of £100m based in Glasgow and the surrounding areas, this is a great time to be joining a business that is in growth mode for the next 5 years. Reporting into the Commercial Director, responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing projects
  • Dealing with tender stage subcontract and material enquiries
  • Assisting with subcontract procurement, agreement, payment and award
  • Attending, contributing to and taking minutes of meetings as required
  • Preparing valuations agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued
  • Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings
  • Informing sub-contractors of contract variations
  • Dealing with contractual issues from a commercial perspective
  • Provision of cost advice to Design Consultants
  • Assisting with reporting on contract performance via monthly cost/value reconciliations
  • Agreeing client and sub-contract final accounts.
