Quantity Surveyor – Glasgow – Up to £60,000 DOE + Car / Allowance + Package
First Task Professional are delighted to be working alongside a contractor with an excellent track record for delivering infrastructure projects and frameworks across multiple sectors.
The client are a major tier 1 involved in long term works at HMNB Clyde.
They are seeking a QS to deliver projects spanning the full lifecycle of nuclear infrastructure- from construction and upgrades to long term maintenance and decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost planning, budgeting, and cost control for multi-disciplinary construction and design projects
- Prepare, manage, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations (including NEC forms)
- Monitor project costs, track performance, and report on financial risks and opportunities
- Develop cost-saving strategies while ensuring quality and compliance
- Ensure all work aligns with regulatory, contractual, and company standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
Required Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction or infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and procurement processes
- Solid understanding of cost management and commercial control
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and team collaboration skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities across complex projects
- Proficiency in project management and cost reporting tools
