First Task Professional are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a civil engineering contractor delivering a range of infrastructure projects across Dumfries & Galloway, primarily within the water sector.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong pipeline of work and play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying works on site
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records
- Managing quality assurance and ensuring works are delivered in line with specifications
- Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and project management
- Assisting with programme delivery and progress reporting
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Experience within the water sector is highly desirable
- Strong setting out skills using GPS and total station equipment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of QA processes and as-built records
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- CSCS card
- Experience working on Scottish Water projects
